Who can use mobile wallet?
All United Financial members with a smartphone and a debit card are eligible to use mobile wallet payments.
How do I enroll in Apple Pay™?
Enrolling in Apple Pay™ is a quick process that requires you to follow a few easy prompts:
- First, ensure that you have downloaded the latest version of iOS, watchOS, or macOS
- Next, go to “Wallet” and hit the “+” symbol
- Follow the prompts to add your new card
- Some users may need to activate their mobile wallet with the credit union prior to using the service. If we need more information to activate your card via mobile wallet, you will be prompted to call us to complete the process
How do I enroll in Samsung Pay™?
To enroll in Samsung Pay™, simply follow the steps outlined below:
- Open the Samsung Pay app on your mobile device
- Click on “Menu” in the top left corner
- Click “Cards” and then “Add Card”
- Choose the “Add credit/debit card” option and follow the directions to register your card
- Some users may need to activate their mobile wallet with the credit union prior to using the service. If we need more information to activate your card via mobile wallet, you will be prompted to call us to complete the process

Are there any fees for using mobile wallet?
United Financial CU does not charge any fees for using mobile wallet.
How do mobile wallets keep my payment information secure?
Mobile wallets use a token to prevent your card information from being exposed when making purchases. This reduces the risk of your payment information being stored or compromised because only the token is passed on and your payment card information is never shared with the merchant. In addition, if your device is ever lost or stolen, you will not need to cancel your payment card, only the token, which can be quickly disabled and then reissued. If your mobile device is lost or stolen, please contact us at 989.777.3620 as soon as possible so that we can remove your card and tokens from mobile wallet.
