UFirst Foundation Scholarships
We are excited to once again offer our members the opportunity to apply for one of our scholarships. If you are making plans to attend a post secondary school, be sure to apply for a UFirst Financial scholarship. The deadline to submit applications is March 31, 2025
2025 UFirst Foundation Scholarships
Our scholarship program offers three opportunities to support students at different stages:
Graduating High School Scholarship: For high school seniors moving on to local college or university.
Continuing Education Scholarship: For current college or university students needing financial help to continue their studies.
Skilled Trades Scholarship: For students pursuing careers in the trades, including technical schools, apprenticeships, and certification programs
To qualify, applicants need to be:
- A member in good standing at United Financial Credit Union.
- Be accepted to a college, university or trade/craft school
If qualifications are met, applicant must submit all required attachments with application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Instructions
- REQUIRED: Fully complete the application.
- REQUIRED: Submit an essay
- REQUIRED: Attach enrollment verification supportive documents with application or email/mail to provided address. (See Scholarship Application Summary)
Deadline
Scholarship entry packet must be submitted, emailed or postmarked by March 31, 2025. Entries postmarked after that date will be ineligible. Finalists selected will be contacted by April 30, 2025.

Our program proudly offers three different scholarships: Graduating High School, Continuing Education, and Skilled Trades. With this broad range of educational opportunities, the UFirst Foundation supports Michigan students with whatever path they choose in life.
Graduating High School:
UFirst Foundation offers a $1,000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors with the desire to attend a local college or university.
Continuing Education:
UFirst Foundations offers a $1,000 continuing education scholarship to students looking to further their studies, pursue higher degrees, or get recertified.
Skilled Trades (Vocational Training/Certification):
UFirst Foundation offers a $1,000 scholarship to students who are seeking vocational training or certification through accredited programs
